Heres a list of my favorite movies and what they mean to me:
My all time favorite would have to be
The Grand Budapest Hotel

Words cannot describe how I felt the first time watching this. Experiencing such pure fasination and wonders made me feel like a kid again. I never knew that movies and sets could look like this in both color and composition and the most important thing this movie has done for me draw me into the world of film

Next up we have
Love Exposure

This was probably the craziest 4 hours I've ever spent just staring at a screen so extremely perverse, sinful, and funny. The only piece of work that I would not hestiate to give 4 hours of my undivided attention these days. My description does not do this movie any justice, this is a much watch

Brazil

Most of my marvel comes from the production but it must be said that the absurd facetious comedy that this movie portrays and it's satire still holds up today. It's all so incredibly well made in set design and atmosphere and I absolutely love Gilliam's take on how future would look. The dystopian city and dream sequences are so beautiful, despite some areas being big and open theres always a crushing suffocating feeling present. I can go endlessly on about how great some scenes are shot, please watch the movie!

Videodrome

Like Brazil, this movie is also another production masterpiece, along with another "portrayal" of the present. What if technological advancement was intertwined in evolutionary advancement? Where people needed to get cathode ray exposure and TVs can cause biological morph. Something about violence in movies and sex on TV... Now talking about the special effect, it alawys amazes me how everything was done practically, with the breathing props and the especially fleshy parts and that gun scene. Although this is quite a confusing movie at first watch, but I will always recommend this movie, especially if youre into body horror.
